Repelicone W provides excellent water repellency and protection from weathering to vertical or steeply sloping concrete, mineral-based and artificial stone, cementitious substrates and mineral paints.
Repelicone W can also be used for injection into walls to prevent rising damp.
Repelicone W can be used as moisture barrier primer that is recoatable with water and solvent borne paints.
Repelicone W is available
in pails - 1 l, 5 l, 20 l and drums - 200 l.
Storage/ Shelf Life
Repelicone W should be stored under cover at a minimum ambient temperature of 5°C.
Repelicone W has a shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture if stored in proper conditions and sealed drums.
Repelicone W should not be applied when rain is forecasted within 24 hours. Wait at least 24 hours after rain or water cleaning.
Be sure that impregnated
surfaces by Repelicone W are not exposed to water and rain for at least 12
hours after application.
DO NOT USE DETERGENTS for cleaning impregnated surfaces by Repelicone W, washing occurs only by water.
The technical data are specified at 23 °C.
Surface must be clean, sound and free from oil, grease, curing compound, or any contamination. Any contaminants should be removed by light grit blasting. Water jets is then used as the end step of substrate cleaning.
Avoid the use of acidic or alkaline chemical detergents and cationic surfactants. If detergents are used for cleaning, it is necessary to rinse well the cleaned surface by water in order to remove any detergent residue.
It is recommended to apply two consecutive coats of Repelicone W at the stated rate of application, or one flood coat.
Impregnation can be carried out using airless spray machine, brush, or roller.
The water repellent properties fully develop in approximately 72 hours @ 25 °C.
Tools and equipment can be cleaned with water when wet.HEALTH & SAFETY
Care should be taken during use and storage to avoid contact with skin, eyes and mouth. Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection. Should accidental skin contact occur, remove immediately with plenty of clean water. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately - do not induce vomiting.
